The addition on this wooden townhouse is a
good example of why homeowners call
professionals. The previous owner built
what you see here. When the new owners
had it inspected the codes enforcement
office condemned it and banned them from
using it. I worked closely with the new
owners and the codes office to came up
with what you see below.
The shingles on the existing roof are not
manufactured anymore and could not be
replaced. Rather then replacing the whole
house roof, we left the existing porch roof
and built around it so everything would
match. We demolished the existing wooden
floor, concrete floor, and walls then started
from scratch.
